Thinkific SSO & Identity Integrations

Built SSO integrations that let companies use their existing identity provider (Okta, Auth0, SAML) to log into Thinkific. No more separate passwords or manual user management.

The challenge

Companies using Thinkific for internal training already have identity systems like Okta or Auth0. Asking employees to create yet another password creates friction and security risk. They needed SSO that works with their existing setup.

What I did

• Built support for multiple SSO providers (Okta, Auth0, and generic SAML), so one product covers most enterprise setups.
• Handled the tricky parts: session management, user provisioning, and graceful fallback when SSO is unavailable.
• Kept the setup process simple enough that a non-technical admin can configure it with clear instructions.

Outcomes

• ✓ Employees log in with one click using their company credentials.
• ✓ IT teams manage access from their existing identity provider, so there is no separate Thinkific admin work.
